What Happens During a Session?
● Initial Assessment:
A session typically begins with a consultation where the practitioner asks about the individual’s health history, physical complaints, and any emotional or mental stresses. The practitioner will also perform an assessment to determine where there may be restrictions or misalignments in the spine that could be causing interference in the energy flow.
● Spinal Flow Activation:
The practitioner then uses their hands to apply a light touch along the access points on the sacrum and sphenoid / occiput area of the skull. The goal is to gently "unlock" areas of tension and allow the body to release blockages by promoting the flow of the cerebral spinal fluid. About Reiki

The Usui System of Reiki Healing is a hands-on healing practice. Reiki is an ancient laying-on-of-palms healing technique that uses the Universal life force energy to balance the subtle energies within our bodies and to heal. Reiki practitioners act as a conduit or channel through which Reiki energy travels. The intended result of receiving Reiki is a balanced physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual being. Reiki is being used today in clinics and hospitals all over the world to support health, wellness and transition. Please note that my Reiki practice is generally a hands-on healing practice. While there is a protocol of hand positions, I also work intuitively as to where to place my hands and which hands positions to use. My hands will rest lightly on your body and there is no manipulation of your body. If, at any time, you are uncomfortable, I can switch positions, or use the floating hands method. There is no difference in the benefit experienced by the placement of my hands on your body versus floating my hands over your body. Should you desire to alternate positions during the treatment, please feel free to ask me to do so.

What should I expect during a Reiki treatment?

During a Reiki session, the client relaxes on a massage table, fully clothed, except for shoes. The practitioner channels energy to the client through a gentle, light touch in a series of hand placements along the body starting at the head. Sessions also can be performed completely non-touch with hands about an inch or so from the body.
Approximately five minutes at the beginning and end (after the rest period) of each session is for check-in and debrief. These are slightly longer for a new client’s first session to be sure we devote enough time to questions.
Each treatment is followed by a brief rest period in which you bask in the calm stillness of this deeply restful state. This slow reintegration after treatment is important and is similar to shavasna in yoga or the calm integration period after a meditation.
Comfortable clothing is suggested for treatment sessions. Also, because most experience such profound relaxation during treatment, we suggest when scheduling your appointment, please plan to allow a few extra minutes after your session to relax before dashing off for the rest of your day.
What does Reiki feel like?
Clients may feel a sense of warmth or tingling in the area being treated even during non-touch sessions, but there is no massaging or manipulation of muscles.
Each hand position is held still for several minutes or longer as needed to encourage healing and promote wellness. This effect can create a deep sense of relaxation during a session and feelings of peace, calm and generally increased well-being after treatment.
Some people fall asleep. Some experience emotional release. There is no expected experience- Reiki treatment is unique for each individual who receives it.
The most common results of Reiki treatment include:
• Perceived reduction in stress
• Increased relaxation
• Enhanced sense of balance, centeredness and calm.
What are the benefits of regular Reiki sessions?
Just like meditation, or movement arts, the effects of Reiki are cumulative. While one session can work wonders, repeated, regular Reiki treatments can invite significant improvement. As an example: if you exercise for an hour, you will receive benefit. If you exercise every day for a month, the results will be much more profound. Reiki works similarly – regular sessions support well-being in every way.

About Me
Hi there. I am glad you are here. I would like to share the story of how I got here.
I was diagnosed with depression and autoimmune disease in High School and medicated for both. In my 20’s, I was diagnosed with Crohn's and put on a course of medications that each caused different horrible side effects over many years.
Throughout this time, I worked in corporate America for 20 years and then I took a leap and worked in the legal Cannabis industry for 6 years (those were more like dog years in a difficult, toxic industry).
I had multiple surgeries, and over the last few years my quality of life was poor. The final straw was when my eyes were literally swollen shut, itching, and burning unless I was on strong oral steroids. The traditional medical system failed me. I was paying thousands of dollars for a concierge doctor to tell me “There are just some things science doesn’t know.” I needed to do something DIFFERENT.
I began getting Reiki Treatments in 2020 after googling “energy healer near me." I watched a documentary on Netflix, and I had nothing to lose. (Check it out if you have time, The Goop Lab with Gwyneth Paltrow. Also watch the episode on Mediums, I met Laura Lynn at a workshop...LOVE HER)
Reiki has helped me regulate my nervous system. It helped me reconnect with myself and in turn heal myself. I have learned that we are all energy, and, in my opinion, life is an energetic gut punch. Just as we maintain our cars at the mechanic and our bodies at the gym, we too should be regularly maintaining our ENERGETIC body.
Reiki opened me to a world of knowledge within myself.
It was not easy, and I had to change pretty much everything I was doing. Eating, moving, MINDSET. I am happy to say that I have stopped taking many medications I was prescribed and have not needed steroids once in a year. I am watching my thyroid HEAL itself and it's amazing!!!!!
All this to say, that I am healthier than I ever remember being and I want to share Reiki healing with everyone. Our nervous systems are dysregulated and need help!
Besides Reiki and Spinal Flow, I am interested in many healing practices like Yoga, sound baths, Chi Gong, meditation, tapping, Gua Sha, etc.
Also, I am a very proud advocate for cannabis and mushrooms. I have introduced many people to proper dosing and consumption methods of cannabis and have taken many for their first dispensary visit (as it can be overwhelming). I share that in case it resonates with you. I love sharing this knowledge. I believe in the healing properties of plants and fungus that grows in the Earth.
